All of our team undergo dementia and Alzheimer’s training, which covers the essential information and abilities required of all health and social care professionals, with a focus on understanding, awareness, and relationship building. This ongoing education enables our staff to be fully equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills that are appropriate to the various stages of dementia.

All residents are encouraged to participate in group activities such as exercise, bingo, quizzes, and listening to music. Our Activities Co-ordinators also arrange reminiscence sessions and spend one-on-one time with residents, focusing on their individual hobbies, such as looking at photos, arts and crafts, or simply reading to them. Moving into Hazelwood Care Home shouldn’t be a lot of hassle and stress, which is why your care home fee covers most of what your life here at Hazelwood Care Home will entail. It covers your living accommodations and any activities you take part in while you’re here. It also covers the cost of your beverages and meals as well as basic appointments in the hair and beauty salon and daily newspapers or publications.
