At Hazelwood Care Home, we believe that you should be able to make the most out of your stay each and every day. Therefore we encourage all residents to carry on doing what makes them happy, whether it’s reading a novel in the Library or participating in some gardening. We strive to provide a variety of choices in order for residents to have everything they need to live the life they want.

Our Activity Coordinators ensure that a diverse programme is as accessible as possible, from arts and crafts to baking and film days. For those with memory loss, our Activities Programme includes a variety of activities and alternative therapies such as memory boxes and reminiscence. We also organise visits to popular places within Dartford on a regular basis, and we have great connections with the local community.

In any situation, we value our residents’ ability to make decisions and manage their lives as much as possible. Our enthusiastic Activity Coordinators ensure to provide residents with the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging activities, either individually or in a group setting. Residents at Hazelwood Care Home won’t have to worry about getting to and from their destinations as our home is close to public transportation.

At Hazelwood Care Home, we love the opportunity for residents to explore the local community. We often organise trips to the local areas such as Bluewater Shopping Centre, Beacon Wood Country Park, Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation and Lullingstone Castle and World Garden including regular visits to theatres, pubs, cafes and museums.

Entertainers such as singers and musicians that come to our home are a hit with both residents and staff. Our residents can’t help but to sing along or tap their feet along to the beat. Pet therapy is also offered to residents, where furry animals visit the home and enjoy being petted and fed by the residents

Because we believe that a new home should not mean a change in lifestyle, we provide a cheerful and stimulating atmosphere for our residents.
